How to bulk import products into Precision Systems

Using a spreadsheet (CSV, XLSX or XLS) to quickly format product data, you can easily import bulk products into your Precision Systems POS store.

Before you begin, prepare the following product information:

  • Names of your products
  • Names of the categories to which they belong
  • Any variations, such as sizes, colors and flavors
  • Retail prices of your products
  • These are prices before tax if your store displays prices before tax
  • These are prices including VAT if your store displays prices including VAT
  • Supply price of your products (optional)
  • Existing barcode/SKU numbers

Step 1: Upload the sheet

To begin, download the Precision Systems POS product Template spreadsheet file.

This is a pre-formatted template that includes all relevant product information that can be captured in Precision Systems for successful catalog insertion.

Or go to "Product" from your web admin interface:

Settings >

Products >

Then press located on the upper right side of the "Import products" button

You will have downloaded the bulk product import template that you can find in your download list under the name "import_products_en".

Step 2: Fill in the form

Open the downloaded template.

We strongly recommend that you open the spreadsheet file in Excel or use a free spreadsheet program such as Open Office to maintain the required formatting.

Then in each column, insert the information related to your products.

Step 3: Importing the file

Once you have completed your Precision Systems POS import template, you can import it into your store.

To validate and import your product spreadsheet, from your web admin interface, go to the sidebar and click on Settings -> Products, then click on the Import button. 

Once here ;

Click on the "Import products" button, then choose from your computer the file of the product sheet you have filled in.

Precision Systems will then receive the file and integrate the products it contains into your catalog.

You will then be shown the success message below:

your products will then be available in the list of products in your catalog.
